Message from Jason and John

Bringing back the internal newsletter was always the plan for 2020 and with the

current circumstances, now feels like the perfect timing. We are all coping differently

with how COVID-19 has affected us and our families, now in our 4th week of

lockdown and having exhausted all our TV picks and jobs within the house, we all

need as much help and support as possible to get through the next few days / weeks.

Following the latest government guidance, we will remain closed for the next two

weeks and a decision will be made towards the end of the month on how we proceed

moving forward.

The picture sums it up, we are closed for business due to necessity, but we are all keen to

return to normality and get our business back on track at the earliest opportunity. We are in

this together, with your support we are 100% confident that we will get through this crisis

and back to doing what we do best as soon as it is safe to do so.

We have taken the decision to put the Attendance Bonus Scheme on hold and review its

operation for the rest of the year when we return to work. We will however honour the

payment for the period 1st Jan to 30th April taking into account attendance up to when we

closed on 25th March. Please note any payments relating to the Attendance Bonus for this

period will not be made before the end of May; we will confirm exactly when they will be

made to both weekly and monthly paid staff as soon as possible.

Thank you for how you have worked with us throughout this enforced break, please keep

yourself and your families safe.

Take care

Jason and John

Back to homeschooling

Homeschooling is tough, getting your child

motivated to work and then all the

questions. Here are a few tips you might

find useful.

Prioritise the core curriculum - There are a

number of teacher platforms that have

opened up membership to help with these

including:

Hamilton Trust: English and Maths for all

key stages

Whiterose: For maths with some great

videos

Stem.org: lots of exciting resources across

these subjects

There are also lots of online resources that

will help you out with the rest of the

curriculum. Use these alongside the

materials you're likely to get from the

school and you'll be star teacher and pupil

in no time!

History: Horrible Histories

Art: Art Ninja

Geography: Blue Planet

PE: Joe Wicks PE

Maths: The Maths Factor

English: David Walliams Kids Stories

But most of all try not to stress about it too

much, have fun and enjoy this time you

have together! There are a few more hints and tips in article below.

Take time for yourself...

We are probably feeling a bit stir crazy, but try and use this time to do things you enjoy... Listen to that album or playlist you never get around to listening to or make a playlist and share it! Do a jigsaw, read a book, draw a picture, play a board game, organise the cupboards, plant some vegetables or watch every series on Netflix! Take the time to do some ‘you’ things.

Mental wellbeing is priority...

Even if you've never experienced mental

health issues before, many will struggle to

cope under the current circumstances.

Please look after yourself and any family

member for signs of mental health

deterioration. Your local MIND

are offering some great support.

Some advice for self employed...

The Government have also since launched

a new Coronavirus Business Support Hub.
